Disability - There is an ability behind every Disability. Part 1(An introduction)

Disability is one of the most important issues in the contemporary society .Most of the people in our society are not so much aware about it . In simple words it is a physical or mental condition that limits a person's movements, senses, or activities.

A disability is any condition that makes it more difficult for a person to do certain activities or interact with the world around them. These conditions, or impairments, may be cognitive, developmental, intellectual, mental, physical, sensory, or a combination of multiple factors.

Disability , Impairment and Handicap these 3 are interconnected-

Impairment - It refers to a problem with a structure or organ of the body.

Disability - It is a functional limitation with regard to a particular activity.

Handicap - It refers to a disadvantage in filling a role in life relative to a peer group.

In recent years, the understanding of disability has moved away from a physical or medical perspective to one that takes into account a person’s physical, social and political context. Today, disability is understood to arise from the interaction between a person’s health condition or impairment and the multitude of influencing factors in their environment.
