Sir Edmund Hillary once said, " It is not the mountain that we conquer, but ourselves". It is completely true. I am going to share why I also feel so.
In 2021, I got the chance to visit Mussoorie, and from that day , I fell in love with the mountains. The sound of the waterfall, clouds, and snow became characters in my own story. The experience in Mussoorie was simply amazing. It has always been in my list to visit Mussoorie because of Ruskin Bond, who has always managed to make me feel the essence of mountains through his writing.
Now, let's talk about my first trekking experience, which was the Kheerganga trek at Kasol, Himachal Pradesh. We had been planning this trek since 2022. My colleague from KV, Amrita, was also part of this planning. To be honest, I wasn't sure if I would be able to do the trek as it required physical fitness and mental strength. However, after a lot of thought, we managed to complete our first trekking adventure. It was an amazing experience, and I'm not sure if I'll be able to put it into words.
Coming to the experience of trekking,in one word it was breathtaking. We first thought that it wil be an easy trek best on our online researches, but after completing the same we can easily conclude that it was off moderate level.
