Conversation of two friends in a telephone call.
SIMRAN:- Hello!
TANIYA:- Hello! How are you is everything good ?
SIMRAN:- Yes everything is fine and how are you?
TANIYA:- Are you sure, everything is fine ?
SIMRAN:- Yes why not ?
TANIYA:- Did you keep yourself updated with all the news ? Whatever is going on, is it fine ?
SIMRAN:- No absolutely not fine but what can I do ?
TANIYA:- You can spread awareness by small and silent protest!
SIMRAN:- I wish, I could do, but you know that I live in a conservative family and they will not allow me to do so..
TANIYA:- It's just an excuse !
SIMRAN:- Nope it's not, and by the way are you planning to do ?
TANIYA:- Yes I did though my mother is not soo happy with that decision still I will because If one doesn't take the first step then no one will ever do. Most people are coward and escapist and always give the predators chance to live peacefully but not the victims.
SIMRAN:- Well what will it contain ?
TANIYA:- It will contain that Being a girl is not at all easy we all know.Everyday we speak about feminism,equality and respect but we forget that there are still few people who are struggling due to all this issues.
SIMRAN:- 'Who are those people?'
TANIYA:-They are those boys who respect girls , understand them and even help them in struggle but nowadays girls have became worst, they accuse those boys by giving false information to the social media or police or society.
SIMRAN:-Really ?
TANIYA:-Yes , a small example one girl accused one boy in social media stating that the boy had sexually harassed the girl however the boy didn't did this...The girl forced the guy to commit suicide by threatning and posting this false ir fake information in social media.
SIMRAN:-oh my god ! It's unbelievable
TANIYA:-Yes all this things are going on but none is aware of this things.
SIMRAN:- For these girls we are in shame
TANIYA:- exactly!So what to do?
SIMRAN:- If u want to do something please do it without thinking much because if we start thinking then it will be difficult to do that work.One will think only and by that time society will become worst.Gender doesn't matter because we all have the same blood and most importantly we are human being.Always remember that one gender cannot build the society or nature and for getting a change at first change yourself think differently.
SIMRAN:- Yess!!
TANIYA:-ALWAYS RESPECT THE PERSON NEXT TO YOU AND LISTEN WHAT THEY ARE SAYING GIVE THEM ATTENTION , SO YOU WILL ALSO BE RESPECTED.IF YOU DON'T RESPECT ANYONE THEN NO ONE WILL DO...IF YOU ARE GOOD WITH EVERYONE THEN EVERYONE WILL BE GOOD FOR YOU TO.
SIMRAN :- Yes now let's spread this awareness everywhere as much as we can.
TANIYA:- Yes lets do it and let us take the first step towards this .
SIMRAN:- ONLY GIRLS ARE NOT SUFFERING , BOYS ARE ALSO SO LET US ALL BE TOGETHER TO GET EQUALITY .
TANIYA:- Nor we girls asked for special treatments we only asked for equality.
SIMRAN:- Yes dear have you faced anything like that ?
TANIYA:- Yes I did. One day at 7 am when I was going to school by public bus when my destination arrived and I came near the door of the crowded bus I heard the conductor to tell that 'Please be carefull ladies are standing '
SIMRAN:- What's new this takes place everytime and may be he was just protective…
TANIYA :- May be he was but I did not asked for it but when girls ask for help where are these 'overprotective' people why they vanish at that time when they are needed. A girl was raped and burnt alive where were these people? Why didn't they rose up their voice ? Why they didn't helped the victim other than criticising the victim? It is not the victims fault that she was raped..Isn't it ?
SIMRAN:- Absolutely you are correct. The society always criticizes the victim and according to them it is victims fault. It helps the attackers to escape and live freely in the society. I heard this many times that always girls are said to behave and dress properly . Even I am not allowed to go outside after 8pm alone . Whenever I need to my brother accompanies me…
TANIYA:- Restricting only girls will not work you need to restrict boys also. You should tell both of your child ( boy or girl) to behave properly because the society is me and you noone else
SIMRAN:-Exactly dear both the genders need to be disciplined .The change will come slowly but it needs to come and we will bring the change.
TANIYA:- Yes we all are united and will bring a change in the society by not violating the rules but changing the so called thoughts which are incorrect.
SIMRAN:- We will make our society, our city, our state and our country the beautiful place to live for both the genders. Will correct the incorrect things that are followed till now and also the misconcepts that society believed.
TANIYA:- Will make the first move together.
SIMRAN:- Yes then one by one everyone will come and follow and support this non violent movement.
TANIYA:- Change will not come if we don't change our mind.
SIMRAN:- Let's be the change.
